Wink_Connect : Startup FAILED: No local Wink Hub(s) found ???

Since I just updated my Wink hub to 2.49 firmware I also updated Wink Connect to .21 RC7 … and turned mode to ‘Local API’, in Setup. I get the error message… “Wink_Connect : Startup FAILED: No local Wink Hub(s) found.”

My hub is working fine.

You failed to read the documentation…

Specifically the part that states:

IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A ROOTED WINK HUB, DO NOT SELECT “LOCAL” MODE!!!

and

** NOTE: As of Wink Hub firmware version 02.49, “LOCAL” mode is obsolete **

and, in the release note for v0.21rc6, where it states:

Local Control is automatically enabled for any remote Wink Hub that has been updated to the new firmware.

“LOCAL” and “COMBINED” api modes have not been removed, to maintain backward compatibility for people who are still running rooted hubs and using the local_api implementation.

You need to use “REMOTE” api mode.

Ok, thx… I didn’t read rc6 release notes, I went from .19 direct to rc7
