Anyone tried the new Qubino RGBW dimmer with Vera?

Qubino have a new RGBW dimmer: http://qubino.com/products/flush-rgbw-dimmer

Anyone tried it with Vera and have any report on how well they work together?

This is the same as the Black Cat RGBW Dimmer.

Presently, it is not fully recognised by Vera. Vosmont is/was working on integrating it into his RGBW Plug In.

I can confirm that it works well with Home Seer.

Thanks for the info. What is it that is not fully working?

All of the automation scenes.

There are some problems with the white channel.

Any news on this? I would love to be able to use the Qubino RGBW dimmer with some tunable white led strips…

I gave up on the device and went to Z-UNO instead, similar price and does much more.

I understand. I’m not sure i’m willing to design my own device at the moment.
I have sent a message to support@micasaverde.com. We will see what they have to say.

Thanks!

Any updates on Vera support for the Qubino RGBW controller?
I bought one when a seller claimed it would work, but no device is listed in Vera with the right model number… :-[

Micasaverde told me that they had other more pressing matters to work with. Eventually, there will be support for the Qubino RGBW dimmer.
I bought a Raspberry pi, a razberry z-wave addon, and installed Domoticz. It support the device. I needed some more range so the gen5 was a good thing.

With the latest UI7 firmware, Vera (sort of) supports the Qubino RGB dimmer. Here is what to do.

  1. Include the dimmer as you normally would using the “Add devices” button.
  2. The device will appear as a generic dimmable light and will act as such.
  3. Go into the device options, advanced tab and change the following settings:
    device_file: D_DimmableRGBLight1.xml
    device_json: D_DimmableRGBLight1.json
  4. Restart your Vera

You will notice that the device will now have a color picker and the the control panel will also have the color picker as well as warm white and cool white sliders. Only the Warm White slider and color picker work with this device.

Hopefully, Vera Controls will add the right configuration for this device in the next firmware version to automatically recognize it as an RGBW device.

I also had to add the following to device_type:
