broadlink - how to handle when device was turned on/off manually

I am using Vera Edge and I just got my broadlink RM Pro to use it as a remote for the air conditioner and for the TV.
I was successfully added scenes to Vera with RM-Bridge to toggle devices state (turn off or turn on), So for examlpe, now I can turn on/off the air conditioner when I am out from home.
To know the device state I created a multiswitch for the devices, so when I am toggle the device state I will also toggle the multiswitch state.

The problem is when someone will use the original remote to change the device state, then I will not know for sure the device state because the original remote wont change the multiswitch and I could turn a device off even I wanted to turn it on.

There is some way to know the device state for sure even if it was changed manually? or to force broadlink to turn off/on the device and not to toggle it?

Thanks

Hey, how did you link your Vera to your Broadlink RMhome? That’s a great effort!

For your question, it’s not a great answer. Air Conditioners usually only have one way communication to their remotes. For example, if you had two normal air conditioner remotes, one wouldn’t update it’s settings when you changed the other.

Tricky, maybe add some power monitoring to the AC? That might give you a clue as to the state.

Hi @MarcusB
To add braodlink support to Vera use RM-Bridge: http://rm-bridge.fun2code.de/
Just download the app to your android device, then you need to start teach new codes in Manage Codes section on the site.
After you did it you get http url for each code the bridge learned that you can send it from vera (using luup)
for example:
luup.inet.wget(“http://XX.XX.XX:PORT/code/Tv%20volume%20up”)

What do you mean by monitor to the AC? like wall outlet?

Probably too many amps for a z-wave outlet, but maybe a Aeon power meter?
