Complete AltUI newbie - and fail to install

I am not able to install AltUI. Running Vera Plus with FW 1.7.4001. When accessing the device and Settings it says: “Error executing function altui_Settings(): Cannot read property ‘startsWith’ of undefined”. I am also not able to access AltUI web-i/f, just get “No Handler”.

Also tried to uninstall, but that fails also. Probably a newbie mistake, but I need some guidance…

How did you install ? Did you reload Luup after ?

Well, I restarted the Vera… How do I reload LUUP?

I installed by installing the app from within Vera.

Have tried to reload Luup via zwave settings - but no difference…

Suddenly my Vera can no longer be reached from home.getvera.com i.e. no remote access… Maybe not related, but bad…

Likely a problem with lack of space…

Filesystem 1K-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on

/dev/root 10240 10240 0 100% /rom

/dev/mtdblock9 10240 10240 0 100% /mios

Definitely is a disk space problem… might want to apply my script to move some files to the larger partition…

I am now in touch with Vera Support - but what files would be safe to move?

My script does it all for you…

OK, are you willing to share it?

I did. See the link I posted above and go to post 44.

Sorry - got it! I am lost…

Thanks!

my 2 cents, ask support to clean it up. they should fix the app install code so that it checks free space before trying the install. once they clean up your vera storage, you should be able to try again

You are likely to run into the same issue again, though…

No because if they clean it up they can remove old files old backups etc it should have the room

It depends on what apps he had and what is occupying his space. I ran out of space too in spite of having the firmware files removed. On the Vera Plus, you have not much room even after a cleanup. With only the most basic rootfs and no apps and the only things you can remove taken out, (the biggest files are the old zwave firmwares for other regions) I still had 5MB+ usedd out of 8.6MB leaving me with less than 4MB. 3-4 big plugins later, the drive is full again and you are left with a tiny free space where the Luup engine writes the user-data.json files and eventually will prematurely kill your NAND cells, cause data corruption etc…
