From time to time I get various devices that wont turn on when I try to turn them on, nothing happens, then I do an engine reload and they work perfectly, any ideas on how I can track down whats causing this issue, thanks

Looks OK to me.
Start by looking in the Vera logs when you have the problem.
Check for any devices that are not connected etc.
last week after Vera hard reboot my controller was restarting every 10 min
I found out that Gcal3 plugin was not connecting due to Gcal3.json file.
thanks, will it just say not connected in the log?

bad state dongle was on my log too
