Google Home + Vera - The easiest way - No programming required

Hi guys. It might not be the most secure way but it doesnt require much effort to pull off.

Basically , you use a public url to activate a scene on your vera.

  1. You’ll need to download TriggerCMD(Use the GUI interface).

  2. Create a command that opens your LOCAL vera scene (http://YOUR VERA IP:3480/port_3480/data_request?id=lu_action&&output_format=json&serviceId=urn:micasaverde-com:serviceId:HomeAutomationGateway1&action=RunScene&SceneNum=Your scene ID no)

  3. Then click on bookmark command and you’ll get your Public URL to activate the command you just created.

  4. Then use IFTTT
    4.1 IF Google Assitant
    4.2 That → Webhooks → Insert the bookmark url that you create.

  5. Done.

Just never share the public URL with anyone.
