Hayward OmniLogic IP-based Pool Controller

I’ve been working with my pool contractor and Hayward to get a hold of one of Hayward’s recently introduced IP-based pool controllers called the OmniLogic. I’m expecting a unit in the next couple of weeks. From what I can tell so far, it’s built from the ground up as an IP controller so it has a lot of potential.

I’ve also been promised a copy of the API and I’d like to see if a Vera plug-in can be developed. Is anyone interested in assisting in the development of the plug-in? A non-disclosure agreement (NDA) may be required…

Most if not all plug-ins developed by the community provided a personal benefit for them. Unless someone here with the skills has a similar interest, you may find that you’ll have to roll your sleeves up and tackle this yourself.

I know this thread is ancient, but I’m about to install an OmniLogic on my pool. Has anyone obtained the Hayward SDK or started any development? I plan to dig into this, but wanted to see if anyone started on it first.

Thanks,
Matt

Was able to get a hold of the protocol, but decided not to pursue a vera plug-in. Instead, developed an Alexa skill to control the pool.

Nice! Would you mind sharing the API?

Thx
Matt

I am interested as well. I have an OmniLogic, Vera Plus and Alexia -

I’ve automate my Hayward pool pump with Vera using a Sonoff module… Easy and fast to setup… pretty happy with that !
I’m now working on doing the same without the Sonoff using a TTL to Wifi (Geekcreit DT-06) and talk with the drive controller directly so the module will be hidden within the pump itself.
