Include Device Property in Alert?

Is there a way to include a Device Property e.g. temperature in the text of an alert message?

OK, so after more digging in this and the PLEG forum, I tried including an expression for the Device Property pLow_Temp, (which according to the status report has a current value of 16) in the message field for the alert as {(pLow_Temp)} and I made sure the slide switch to allow expressions was on. When I ran the action, the expression did not evaluate, it just returned the literal value of “{(pLow_Temp)}”.

Can someone point me in the right direction on how to do this?
