Until 2 months ago, I had been running a Vera plus for 4 years without any problems. About that time, my scenes started taking a long time to execute. Anywhere from 10 to 30 seconds. What could the problem be?
Try rebooting the hub weekly. Run a script in a scene to do it. I found that helped me when I was still using my Plus.

The chance is big a defective network device is in your network, or routing is not optimal anymore. Zwave (vera) tries 10 times with 2 seconds interval sequentially. So device 1, 2 , 3 and if 4 is defective or has bad connectivity it will try multiple times till success, then 5, 6 and so on…
