I’m looking for ideas on how to configure things to remain “fairly secure” and the support folks say there’s nothing I can do so I thought I’d ask here to see if there are ways to do this…
I have several vera pluses (and even vera2 and 3) and have one “open” vera plus with all my simple controls (light switches, thermostats, etc) in this network. I’ve also got a more secure, ie no-local access, gateway access) vera plus which has things like sensors and other door devices. What I’d like to do is be able to control the unsecure devices from the secure vera. I basically want to setup bridging the unsecure devices through the non-open plus. But… you can’t bridge with uPNP with a device without local access. At least according to vera support you can’t.
Is there some way I could work around this to allow the “gateway only” vera to control the open access vera while keeping the sensitive equipement hidden?
