Not a lot of info. Maybe old news but looks new. Is it possible that “gocontrol” (Nortek?) has come out with a new z-wave irrigation controller??

Looks interesting.
We would be interested in knowing if this product works well. Amazon has no reviews as of yet.

ordered one… but now has become a pre-order for october delivery. And the product actually disappeared from Amazon…

Called Nortek today and they said they expected to release it by the end of this year (2016).

I know some zwave+ devices work with VeraLite but how can you determine what does and doesn’t work with VL before buying this product?

Does the HydroFLASH controller qualify for the smart irrigation controller according to the EPAS website? In Charlotte as long as the unit qualifys there is a discount on Ccf billed.

Although vera reps occasionally read and post here, this is not an official support site. I hear it’s more likely you’ll get a reply from vera if you post on their Facebook page

Nortek says the controller is still in beta testing with no ETA for purchase. The Amazon listing is a mistake.

Reviving an old thread because I purchased one to try it out. It does not work, you can pair it with the Vera, but it just shows up as a single switch device (similar to what happened with HomeSeer before it was updated). I have developed plugins for Vera before, but not sure how to go about adding a custom Z-Wave type device, anyone have any experience with that?

I actually found the device listed under devices → Other Devices → GoControl Smart Irrigation Controller, it has pictures of the thing and specific instructions on how to pair it. I added it to Vera, but it only shows up as a “BinarySwitch_1”, instead of a collection of switches and sensors, so it looks like it almost works, but not quite. Perhaps Vera is close to supporting it :smiley:

The technical details are it uses a new device class, Irrigation Command Class, version 1 (current Z-Wave specs section 4.42). Looks like Vera is missing that implementation to make it complete. It does not look like adding device classes is possible through the plugin API, so might just have to wait for this one.
