Recommended and affordable outdoor camera?

Does anyone in here know any other brand wifi camera that fully compatible with Vera Secure? I am looking to get a few, but vista cam is just way too expensive. With the price of one of those, I can buy an entire camera system, but it won’t integrate seamlessly with vera Secure.

Please help and let me know which models you’ve used.

A number of folks use Blue Iris so one can use just about any camera.

Blue Iris isn’t bad.

I like the HikVision Exir cameras. They’re not too pricy and work well with Vera out of the box (after you determine the http URL).

I’ve posted in this group the method of determining the http URL if you need to find it.

Almost anything works with Blue Iris… There’s also Xeoma which works with tons of cameras but is more difficult to get setup.

I have a couple Amcrest and EzViz cameras. I prefer the Amcrest as they are just dumb simple setup and open compatibility. I got the EzViz on sale to play with and they work really well. You can find the EzViz Husky and Amcrest outdoor cameras always under $100 so it’s not too bad. The EzViz does not require their cloud service if you use a system like Blue Iris to record for you.
