Here is my Z-wave list.

There are many different manufacturers out there, these are the main ones I have used or know about and had dealings with, I am based in the UK so my lists are representing those manufacturers that have European Z-Wave products.

Also you can see all the certified Z-Wave devices on the Z-Wave Alliance website and pick your world region here.

There is also a list of companies that are members of the Z-Wave Alliance here. Vera are not listed but Ezlo are.

Z-Wave Europe are the main EU distributor based in Germany.

Vesternet is the main UK online store for Z-Wave products.

Some of these manufacturers listed also have Zigbee or Wifi products also.

Question for the guys who listed “Hue” (lights, plugs, sensors, switches, etc.)…

Are you envisioning the ezlo platform taking on-board ALL of the features and coordination currently handled by the Hue Hub directly via Zigbee (thus eliminating the need for it?), or simply connecting natively to the Hue Hub via HTTP/API (thus eliminating the need for a HueX plug-in)?

Logitech Harmony Hubs and Remote Controls

With regard to Harmony hubs / remotes, we currently have the excellent 3rd party Harmony plugin for Vera by @rene

The Wiki for the plugin can be read here

The forum page for this plugin can be seen here.

The release notes for the plugin can be seen here.

Instructions on the plugins configuration and features can be see here.

This is a very powerful plugin and the Harmony integration with Vera is very in depth and tight.
It even exposes a local http api that you can use to send http commands to Vera which will in turn relay those commands on to the Harmony hub to control your IR devices / button commands for those devices on that Harmony hub etc.
I have used this feature to add remote control “buttons” in to the Imperihome app and also in the Yatse Kodi app and in to other mobile apps I use as well that support sending http commands out.

Without this Harmony plugin on the Ezlo platform, I would have to seriously think twice about migrating to the Ezlo platform without it.

The plugin is fully featured and does everything you could want with integration in to Vera.

Here are my Lounge Harmony activities in Vera UI7 and also an IR coloured lamp I have in the lounge that is controlled by the Harmony hub for example.

However to my knowledge there is one thing that you cannot do either by using this plugin or native support from Vera Control Ltd.

Logitech Harmony has a feature called “Home Control”

Some of the Harmony remotes have special “Home Control” buttons for controlling either lights or appliance plugs etc.

Also on Harmony remotes with an LCD screen these “Home Control” devices are accessible and controllable from the remotes screen and also from the Harmony mobile app.

Natively only a few smart home platforms are supported by Logitech Harmony, the main ones being Philips Hue and SmartThings for example.

In the MyHarmony desktop software you can add a compatible “Home Control” device such as a Philips Hue bridge or a SmartThings hub.

This would then expose all of those smart home devices in to the Logitech Harmony “Home Control” function.

In the MyHarmony desktop software under Devices - Home Control - I added the HA Bridge aka the Philips Hue emulator.

So to do that, I am currently using a 3rd party solution to get certain Vera Z-Wave lights and appliance plugs in to the MyHarmony software and on to my Harmony remotes, so I can control these Z-Wave devices from my Harmony remote control handset.

I am using the JAVA HA Bridge software running on my Windows file server.

This software acts as a Philips Hue bridge emulator.

I can add certain Vera Z-Wave devices or even Vera scenes in to the HA Bridge by using Vera’s http local control api.

Here is an example of a Fibaro Dimmer 2 Light for my Kitchen ceiling and how it is added and controlled in the HA Bridge software using Vera’s http api.

Any Vera devices or scenes I have added to my HA Bridge setup, those devices are then detected and added in to the Logitech Harmony “Home Control” feature.

I would like to see native support from Ezlo for Logitech Harmony “Home Control”.

And I would definitely like to see the current 3rd party Harmony plugin for Vera ported over to the new Ezlo platform if at all possible.
Elzo have stated that for popular 3rd party plugins if the original developer is not active or unable to recreate their plugin for the new Ezlo plaform, then Ezlo themselves would look at undertaking that work.

Thanks

Either really.

However I am happy to keep my Hue bridge and have native support in the Ezlo hub to control my Hue lights via the Philips Hue api, as I do now with the Alt Hue plugin for Vera.

Fibaro Event data! (error messages, status messages and so on…)

Glad you brought it up, I was going to post thread today about the same subject :slightly_smiling_face:

I have been looking around to see what is really missing from vera/ezlo platform, at least what I am using and (what I think) most important devices should be covered for your customers to have a unique smart home system.

1. I would begin with MCOHome Fan Coil Thermostat (MH8 series) which is already integrated into vera, but still its not full integration (mentioned it before and sent email to support) regarding the fan stage (High - Medium - Low - Auto), since you guys made it work why not adding this feature?

This is how it look like now, I hope ezlo team can complete the integration by adding fan stages please.

2. Another device we have been promised (or voted to make it happen) to be integrated which is Konnected Alarm Panel, Konnected works seamlessly with some of the smart home systems but why not ezlo? I have been looking for simple smoke alarm systems to work with vera but I could not find one, the wireless battery powered devices are not taste, so please consider it.

3. How you can have a smart home system without your own weather station telling you the current weather status from your home! I really recommend Tempest Weather Station, its still funded on indiegogo and they started the production already, going to receive mine next month, take a look on which smart home systems it will work.

The same question should be asked again, why not ezlo?

4. One more thing, atmoshome.com the smart screen dashboard, they are saying that their screen is compatible with vera and other smart home systems, btw the way they promised to deliver the screens to their customers back in Nov 2019, but I think they went into financial difficulties and they are raising a crowd funding again, it looks promising and I hope they can make.

We have a fully customizable dashboard coming up very soon…you should be able to utilize it instead of Atmoshome hopefully.
