TZDW-100 Z-Wave Door/window sensor

Added a Telldus TZDW-100 Z-Wave Door/window sensor to my Vera Secure. It shows up as 2 devices. One door/window sensor and one “io device”. Whenever the door/window sensor is triggered an alert is also logged because the “io device” changes state.

Is this expected behavior? I’m new to all of this…

Bumping an old thread. The GenericIO device is the parent to the dooor/window sensor child device. It shows as a generic device with useless on/off buttons but shows the battery level. Anyone knows how to ”merge” these two devices into one, a door/window sensor with battery level?
