I’ve had several devices appear at odd times over the past 9 months or so but had no idea what they where or where they came from until I updated the VE that had the RFXCom PI.
The upgrade went well (as far as Vera Upgrades go) but dropped the USB Serial Config, it was only then that all of devices flagged as red and there status became unavailable.
With the help of Tinman, I was able to reconfigure the Com Port, however now I have a room full of unknown devices, I have no idea what they are or even if they are in my house?
Perhaps someone might recognise a Device ID and shed some light of these “phantoms”

Have you Lighting4 and X10 enabled in the RFXtrx?
In that case you receive devices with a PT2262 or EV1527 as security devices.
Advice: enable only the receive protocols in the RFXtrx you need for your devices.
Living in the city I receive a lot of these when Automatic creation is enabled. I have approximately 30 devices detected from my neighbors

Disable Automatic creation!
