I have been running my Vera 3 now for 4 + years and it is upgraded to Ui7. In the light of the recent announcements that there will be no more development on this product I would like to upgrade soon. I have been looking since Christmas at the Vera Secure but as the advanced features have not yet been implemented or supported for the UK is it a waste of money? Does the dual core processor offer any performance gains over the Vera Plus? Or should I hold off because a whole new series of gateways are about to be released?
Also is the performance from the ‘new’ Vera Plus / Secure a big step up compared to the Vera 3? I have about 40 device on my network and have been reasonably happy with the performance of the Vera 3. The only frustrating issue is the Geofencing. About a year ago I finally decided to move on from Windows mobile. Since then the Geofencing is very sluggish (Android) whereas it was always spot on with the Microsoft mobiles.
