Hello I have installed rigpapa switchboard but cant seem to figure how to do this
I have two hue lights which I can switch on and off via a virtual binary switch + plus I have a reactor set up to set the load level to 15% all works great
I want to control them also via a virtual dimmer so that I can set the light level to any % as well, but I cant seem to find how to do this, at the moment when I slide the v dimmer to say 50% it turns them to 100%
If this is possible can someone give me some pointers please, thanks
Do you mean when you slide the virtual dimmer to 50 it goes to 100, or when you slide the virtual dimmer to 50 the Reactor-controller lights go to 100? If the latter, please post a Logic Summary from the tools tab of your ReactorSensor.

I hope I am explaining this right
I have two separate hue dimmer devices in vera but I want to control them with one virtual dimmer
I currently have a reactor sensor but cant seem to set it up correctly so I set the load dimming level to 15% which obviously doesnt work, so in short I want tocontrol both dimmer lights with one virtual dimmer, thank you

OK, so first, your test for “Table Lamps” is looking at the on/off status, not the dimming level, so there’s nothing here that I can see to correlate the dimming level of “Table Lamps” to the two controlled devices. Let’s leave that issue alone for the moment, because as it is, you should be able to turn the lamps on and off, it’s just that when turning them on, the dimming level is always 15%. Is that what you are observing right now as this is (can turn off, can turn on, but always at 15% brightness)?
yes thats correct they turn on and off but only up to 15% so I guess I am missing something that tells the lights to go to the level that is selected on the virtual dimmer I just cant figure how to do that, thanks

Can anyone help here please I’m lost, does anyone have a virtual dimmer controlling 2 physical dimmers that they can share screen shots of the variables or expressions I need to put in reactor please so that the virtual dimmer controls both physical dimmers
Or can someone give me a clue as to what these expressions or variables need to be

Here’s the simplest version. It may not work for some devices supported by plugins that don’t follow all of the typical Vera behaviors, but should work for most native devices:

All good. I’m inclined to let people try for a while… you know… give a man a fish vs teach a man to fish. But there’s a lot of ground, concept and capability to cover, and it gets to a point where providing the answer is teaching. The task for you now is not just duplicating it, but looking at it and figuring out how and why it works.

Excellent all working thank you, several things threw me off course here, one of them was when you set dimming level in activities the box below was small and looked as though it would only accept a number duh…then I typed in {master_level} and it accepted it
