Xiaomi Mi Smart Home Temperature / Humidity Sensor

Does anybody have an experience in pairing the subj. (ZigBee) with Vera?

We haven’t incorporated that device into the platform. Z-Wave allows for almost plug and play functionality but ZigBee requires us to integrate each device one at a time.

Do You have in plans to incorporate it?

same question?

Yep, especially now that the sensors are reeally cheap.

Good afternoon Marc.

I was reading messages pertaining to Xiaomi Mi ZigBee platform.

There is one thing people seem to forget, you still need the ZigBee gateway in order for the Xiaomi Mi, sensors that are available.

Marc, my question, can the Xiaomi Mi ZigBee gateway, be paired with Vera.

See attached picture of the alarm system kit.

Thanks Marc for your response

Dom

It would be great to have support for the Xiaomi Gateway and use the Xiaomi sensors.
Domiticz has also support for it: Xiaomi Gateway (Aqara) - Domoticz

Love to see this integration also in the Vera.

Ditto…I’d add a dozen sensors tomorrow if the cost were reasonable. Xiaomi nails down the cost component of the equation.

AND… Judging by the Company’s Action Cameras’ and Phones’ details, quality is OK…

PleasePleasePlease, Vera…

Any change with the Xiaomi sensors support? I like their price and design, it would be awesome if I could integrate them into my Vera smart home.

i was reading this https://github.com/lazcad/homeassistant and wow ive been trying home assistant for couple of days here and there and i think that is going to be my next route. its not in vera self interested to add xiaomi they will be losing money on the accessories (overprice accessories )

@Vera support:
Do you intend to integrate the Aqara Xiaomi sensors?
Please, we need simple answers:

 1. yes, in 3 months.
 2. No, sorry for you guys.

P.S.
A water leak sensor =13$
A door sensor = 8$
A motion sensor =14$
A humidity&temperature sensor= 14$

Imagine how many people would like to integrate these sensors and how much your market can grow, too.

All this for now.

Thank you

Hello Guys,

Although we have a ton things on our roadmap for 2018, Xiaomi devices are not yet on the short list, so definitely no ETA at the moment.

How about now? (6 months later)

have a look at a usb module called Zigate, originaly started at Kickstarter.

https://zigate.fr/ (use the Alternate UI for this)

is this zigate needs to plug in to pc? or can be plugged to vera unit?

the zigate is supposed to work with either. Zigate is a zigbee “bridge” for the best I can explain it. It requires some form of app or user interface, there is a zigate app for vera although I cannot get it working and it seems others are having issues as well. I’m hoping to get some support from the creator.

One year later…any progress in this?

I recomend opening a ZigBee compatible/integrated devices thread. Depends if EZLO is planning to support Zigbee at all…
@Sorin - Can you please open such section where we can put Zigbee devices we want to integrate and you manage top list with YES/NO decission, Or provide clear answer if you are going to support Zigbee at all.

Please use this section, remove the predefined template for posts, and add “integration” tag.
One device per post.
