Add me to the list of bricked devices after upgrade

It is so frustrating to brick a perfectly working device after doing an upgrade. I called customer care, they say they’ll ship a new device but I need to give them a copy of my receipt - I don’t have that any more and we are apparently at a stalemate. Don’t upgrade unless you want to take on the risk of ruining a perfectly fine system.

You are a little late to the party. Most of learned several years ago to let the new updates simmer for a week or so and see how many posts are made about locked up boxes. I moved to another platform over this issue and several others and now an upgrade costs me less than a minute of downtime. I’m still using my Vera for a few devices, but I don’t upgrade it any longer…
