I have 2 bedside lights in the main bedroom. What I want to achieve is to be able to adapt them to both use Fibaro FGD212 controllers. The aim is to continue using them with the standard cord switch as that will have a high acceptance factor by the missus. I don’t want to use a Swiid as they’re expensive, and afaik they don’t dim, just switch on and off. So, I have two spare Fibaro 212’s, is there a way to adapt them to lamp usage?
I converted the lights on our headboard over to a zwave double relay with the original intention of the switch on the headboard remaining operational. As of this point in time, the headboard switch still doesn’t operate as it used to but the lights come on at dusk and can be turned on and off using Alexa voice commands. I sometimes think that has a higher wife acceptance factor than the switch used to. After all, she doesn’t have to be able to reach Alexa…
