I need to update firmware on an old Aeotec Nano Dimmer to enable it working with Wallswipe panel. I don’t own any USB Z-Wave stick. Is it possible to update firmware via Vera Plus? If not, is this capability coming in the next Vera Plus firmware release? I don’t want to buy a USB Z-Wave stick just to update firmware on one device.
I’m afraid you will need the aeotec z-stick for that. Not possible via Vera. Maybe a domotica shop in your neighbourhood can do it for a small fee?
for Aeotec equipment, updates can be performed with Aeotec stick only.
Other equipment can be updated with any stick. But not with Vera.
Vera can’t make OTA Update with Aeotec stick, or without. (may be future can be added after 10 or 20 years).
Aeotec customer service is great, you can send the device to them and they can upgrade it for you without any charges even if the item was bought years ago
