Siren is not shown in dashboard, so I have to turn it off with a scene - anyway to add it to the list of devices shown?
To clarify, you do not see it when you go to the devices tab at all? You add items to your dashboard by clicking the star and making them a favorite.
No, the siren is shown under devices, and works in scenes. It’s not shown in the dashboard, under My Modes…

Go to advanced under your device details, and look for device_type. Even if old, this article has the information you may need to configure your siren as a siren:
