Can I activate the siren from vera? I don’t have anything I necessarily want to do with this but it sounds like it could be a neat thing to use for alerts. Maybe I could chirp it to get my dogs to come home in the evening before the house shuts down and arms.
That’s not part of the serial protocol, so no.
Well, sort of no. The siren is usually turned on as part of the Fire panic mode. If you don’t use panic modes, particularly the phone-back-to-base part of them, you might be able to cripple the Fire panic enough that it does no more than operate the siren. Maybe.
That will give me something to look into if I am feeling frisky one day. ;D
