Use dashboard outdoor temperature in scenes

I see in the upper right corner of the Vera dashboard a display of the current outdoor temperature (note I do not have a temperature device, I am talking about the temperature that the Vera UI seems to know about…I assume from knowing my zip code).

Is there some way I can access the value of this temperature in a scene (e.g., Trigger = dashboard-temp is 67°, set thermostat#1 = 70°)?

Simplest way i found of doing that is getting the “Virtual Outdoor Temperature Sensor” App, gives you a temperature device you can use in scenes that copies the Dashboard temp.

Be careful
VOTD have a hidden functions. Routines, to send external temperature to every thermostat.
If you have thermostats, worked with external z-wave sensors, it can be confused.

Example:
Radiator thermostat placed in a “hot” zone, listen to Z-Wave t sensor, placed in middle-of-room.
t sensor periodocaly can send room temperature to thermostat.

After it, VOTD can send outdoor temperature to thermostat :man_facepalming:
