I hate it when such a seemingly simple fix never occurred to me to try, and it works. Removing and reinstalling the application fixed the problem. Thanks.
tested picture feature on android version v3.07
works fine with built in vera alert viewer
picture found in samsung s3 in dir : /sdcard/Pictures/VeraAlerts/
only thing is that in main vera alerts screen it shows up as some blue map with a moon in it. is this supposed to be like this ? see attached screenshot.

First of all, congratulations for your GREAT work. I think that it diserve any kink of donation or fee in Google Play.
About your last version, I get a crash after add a task in tasker with VeraAlerts plugin, just after pressing Edit in configuration.
Do you need any additional information?

When you review a picture/video attached to an alert … You can immediately switch to live Video Feed and pan Camera.

Version 3.2 is out.
It has the following Features:
- Fixes a bug sending a Video attached to an Event.
- Adds the Option to retain messages the specified number of days.
- For those that have a Samsun and use Touchwiz (Samsung’s default Screen Manager for Android)
There is now a Notification count attached to the Icon (similar to Badge Count on IOS).
If you upgraded you may have to delete the existing ICON on the screen and re-add it from the
APPS drawer.
