What are these errors?

Have been getting these error messages in my logs (log attached below). I don’t quite understand what is happening but every single IP address this error is referencing is either 1 of 3 of my Sonos speakers. I used to have the Sonos plugin, but I uninstalled it a while ago and today to confirm it wasn’t plugin related I SSH into my vera and deleted any Sonos related plug in files. So now im stumped because this error comes up every maybe 40 mins so it must be slowing down my VP (running 7.30 beta) which I feel like it is. The only other cause to this problem I could think of was my UPNP plugin, but to my understanding I need it for my onkyo and denon receiver plugins. *Edit I also attatched a screenshot of the logs so they’re more clear

Do you have upnp discovery enabled on the vera? There seems to be something buggy about it.

Confirmed it’s disabled.

Probably the UPnP Proxy plugin, would be my guess. The messages are benign, as far as I know. I’ve been working on some big updates to the Sonos plugin, which was originally written by another user but I’ve picked up as maintainer. The UPnP Proxy is the product of yet another developer, so it’s another matter altogether, but if she’s not interested in maintaining it, I’ll likely ask if I can pick it up as well.

Is there anyway I can disable the UPNP proxy for now? These errors are now happening every 2 mins.

You could uninstall/disable it. Did you know you had it installed and what it was for? I suppose it was a requirement for the old sonos plugin. If so, there should be a device on your list which you could interface with.

The only thing I could think of is my avr remote control plugins… but for those I’m using the DLNA plugin. The only way i could to tell is to delete the upnp proxy files and check to see if any devices stop working.

Just delete the UPnP Proxy device. You don’t need to uninstall the plugin, nothing starts if there’s no device associated with it. Uninstalling it won’t hurt either, though.

In terms of side-effects, depending on how the other plugins that depend on it are written, they may stop updating their interfaces for those devices (AVRs etc), or if written a little more tolerant of such things, just use slower polling to update them.

I deleted the upnp proxy devices before I read your post and that has seemed to fix the error issue. Hopefully my avr plugin doesn’t stop working now!
