A few days ago , I noticed all my z-wave routes have disappeared (Routing Matrix checked using ap15’s debugging utilities).
I did countless heals but still none of the routes have been restored. (i’m not using Mios routing to avoid the nightly repairs)
I was able to reach the farthest devices (no direct communication with vera) by entering manual routes as a temporary solution.
Using vera2 firmware v. 1.1.1338.
Another user and I have a similar issue. I have a post open in the private beta forum bringing up the issue. Unfortunately, have not heard from anyone over at MCV acknowledging the issue. The only way I was able to correct this was to do a restore from a known good backup and to check restore zwave dongle when doing the restore.
I don’t know anything about v2.78 vs. v3.20 (is this hardware that you’re talking about?) but I upgraded to 1.1.1338 of the Vera2 firmware and I’ve lost connection to my furthest Z-wave device. It happens to be a dimmer. It won’t configure, and I can’t change status. I currently get this:
Personally I would go with the newer version (and did for months) if it was working but I had problems with it as mentioned, however I have not moved to the most recent UI4 beta because some problems were introduced later which did not exist in the version I’m running, so the issue I had with 3.20 may have been corrected in later versions. The good news is that MCV has committed to doing a final version of UI4 incorporating all known fixes and hopefully that would address both the upgrade issues and the regressions. Of course UI5 is supposed to be coming soon and then there will be no more problems ;D

your best bet for getting some help is to start a new thread titled with a brief description of your issue. Then in the body of your message provide as much detail about the problem as you can. 3.20 is a new branch of zwave with some new capabilities but specific implementations may still have some kinks. It is accessed by settings in the UI, run a search and read up.

I’ll probably hold off until next week when I will (hopefully) add a new switch to replace a faulty one right next to (in the same box as) the non-responding one. Maybe a new, functional neighbor will help… maybe. Also, the firmware version reported by Vera 2 is not 1.1.1338; it is 1.1.1337.
I went back to 2.78 and back and still no change in the routing matrix. I’m trying to avoid to do a full network reset and include all my devices again…
MCV, any ideas ?
I can tell you right now, that this bug has happened to me and I am running beta builds of UI5. So there is no fix for this that I know of. I am running 3.20 on the z-wave chip. I am curious to know if this is a 3.20 related bug as it appears that the only way I was able to fix this was to do a zwave restore of the chip with a known good vera backup.

Roy S: did you also uncheck “use mios routing…” and “limit neighbors…”?

Yes, i haven’t been using Mios routing in all these scenarios since the problem appeared.
I tried checking them today and ran a heal but without any success
Well, I am now having this same issue. I had an issue including an LFM-20 relay module. I deleted it using the trash can icon and have been unable to un-include or to include that device since. I had initially thought that the device was faulty but now I find I have lost all my neighbors. Everything points to node 1 or to nothing (as reported in UI-4). My more distant nodes are now flaky in their response. Some never repond. Repeated heal processes have not cured this nor have attempts to update neighbors for individual nodes.
I have a Vera 2, firmware level 1.1.1245.
I have a ticket in with support. I will report back if I learn anything helpful. I fear that the fix for this may be rebuilding the network. Has anyone found another solution?
Same issue here, I removed a module and a scene controller and then went to re-add them and POOF - The Z-Wave matrix crapped out and everything was not working with Vera. Everything was coming up with Transmit failed , unable to configure or talk with nodes. I had MCV try to recover it but it didn’t work, I ended up restoring from a backup on MioS.com but things are still wacked out…
